Picture Glenn HampsonAS far as jawdropping renovations go, this is a hole-in-one.A 14-hole minigolf course is just one of the standout features Sharon and Dennis Clark have added to their Helensvale mansion since buying it almost eight years ago.Surrounded by palm trees and overlooking the river, the couple say “the putting green”, complete with checkered flags and bunkers, is a hit with guests. 19 River Cove Pl, Helensvale.“He is also a keen golfer so he’s put in the 14-hole putting green.“The whole backyard now is just like a resort.”The Clarks have also modernised the inside of the home, adding a self-contained guest wing, 500-bottle wine cellar with secret entry, billiards room, sunroom and extra bathroom with spa overlooking the water.“We host many parties here – my daughter got married here on New Year’s Eve,” Mrs Clark said.She said people liked the rustic-style cellar most but she loved to lounge by the pool.“It’s been a very fun house to live in – the best eight years of my life,” she said.Mrs Clark said while it would be hard to replace, it was time to downsize since their children had moved out.“It’s one-of-a-kind, I’m going to miss it very, very much,” she said. 19 River Cove Pl, Helensvale. 19 River Cove Pl, Helensvale. 19 River Cove Pl, Helensvale.last_img read more
